Zest Business Consultancy | Services

Strategic Business Consultancy.

I provide consultancy services ranging from fine-tuning back-office administrative

process and structures to comprehensive business overviews, culminating in strategic

recommendation reports. The flexibility of my services allows for tailored

arrangements, whether on a retained basis for a fixed monthly fee, project-specific

terms, or one-off day-rate work.

The consultancy process typically starts with an initial assessment, followed by

defining the scope of work, presenting a proposal, and reaching a mutual agreement.

Transparency is fundamental to my approach. I believe in establishing a good rapport with my clients, ensuring shared goals and a positive working relationship.

It's important that I clarify that my role as a consultant, especially when brought in for a specific purpose, seldom involves implementation. Most projects encompass two phases: the consultancy phase, where findings and recommendations are provided, and the action phase, where implementation occurs. To ensure a worthwhile investment, it's essential for the client to confirm their ability, and willingness, to complete the implementation phase – I want my clients to succeed.

Together, let's navigate the complexities of your business challenges and pave the way for sustainable success.

   Examples areas of expertise include:

  • Managing growth

  • International Trade early-stage

  • Preparing for a business sale

  • Incubation of a start-up company

  • Risk Management

Interim Managing Director Roles.

Navigating unforeseen circumstances that necessitate a change in leadership—whether due to health issues, underperformance, or sudden departures —requires a commitment to continuity. I offer the capability to seamlessly join your team at short notice for a fixed or flexible period (minimum 4 weeks). This ensures the safeguarding of shareholder interests, upholding company performance, and providing support to the senior leadership team or Board of Directors.

Additionally, I am available to cover maternity/paternity leave, providing a reliable and experienced interim resource for the duration of the absence.

The inclusion of an external interim resource is typically well-received by existing senior employees, as they recognise the temporary nature of the addition and perceive no threat.

This arrangement also allows the interim resource to approach challenges from diverse perspectives, identify strengths and weaknesses, and impart valuable insights to a potential long-term leader.

Non-Executive Director Roles.

As part of the Non-Executive Directors’ Association, I connect with a diverse group of NEDs, constantly learning and sharing insights. This helps me bring

fresh perspectives to the boardroom and better serve my clients.
